Adeline Trafton

(Nee Bennett)

Age 93, late of Romeoville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Story Point in Romeoville under the care of Lightways Hospice. Member of St. Dennis Catholic Church, Lockport. Adeline was a kind and loving soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her cherished husband, John James Trafton (August 27, 2016); and her parents, Richard and Florance (Nee Hillman) Bennett.

Survived by one son, Walter Trafton of CA; one sister, Dorothy; her devoted brother-in-law, William Trafton of Mokena; her loving sister-in-law, Darlene Rusch of Lockport; one granddaughter, five nephews, and one niece. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Dennis and St. Joseph Catholic Academy, Lockport in Adeline's name would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 8:30am until time of prayers at 9:30am. Mass of Christian Burial following prayers at St. Dennis Catholic Church, Lockport at 10:00am. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood where she will be laid to rest by her beloved husband, John Trafton at 12:00pm.
