Ann M. Golob

(Nee Collofello)

Age 96, late of Crest Hill passed away peacefully at Willow Falls Senior Living on Sunday, July 31, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Joliet and was a lifelong area resident. Employed by School District 88 for 18 dedicated years retiring in 1985. Ann was a devout member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Crest Hill, C.C.W., Cantigny Post # 367 Auxiliary, Joliet, and Senior Citizens Association, Joliet Area, past president of the PTA at Chaney Monge School, Crest Hill. She was a proud volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet for several years. She was a kind and loving soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward C. Golob Sr. (1996); parents, Giostino and Angela Rosa (Nee Giordano) Collofello; twin sons in infancy; five brothers, Emil, Salvadore, Santo, Rosario, and Felix Collofello; and one sister, Mary Munchalfen.

Survived by her devoted children, Carol (Larry) Riegel of Crest Hill, Kathleen (Richard) Brown of Huntley, and Edward (Kim) Golob of Lockport; nine loving grandchildren, Kevin Riegel, Kim Dore, Kerry (Matt) Marchiniak, Richard Brown , Jonathan (Meghan) Brown, Matthew (Lindsey) Brown, Bradley (Tabitha) Golob, Erin (Donna) Allison, and Shannon (Ashley) Golob; ten adored great grandchildren,  Grace Dore, Matthew, Emma, and Kaitlyn Marchiniak, Henry Brown and baby boy Brown due in September, Nathanael and Abigail Golob, Jacob and Carter Allison, and Hallie Golob. Several nephews and nieces also survive.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Willow Falls Senior Living or St. Anne Catholic Church in Ann's name would be greatly appreciated. Ann's family would like to thank Willow Falls Senior Living for their love and exceptional care through the years.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 9:00am until time of prayers at 10:45am. Proceeding to St. Anne Catholic Church 1800 Dearborn St. Crest Hill, IL 60403 for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Private Burial will take place on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood with only her immediate family in attendance.
