Carlos M. Cerda

Age 68, late of Lockport passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, moved to the United States in 1957 and a resident of Lockport since 2001. He was a dedicated employee of Firestone where he was a Manager for many years and was currently a bus driver for Lockport Township School District. Carlos was a kind and loving soul, and he was very family orientated. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia (Nee Young) Cerda (2015); parents, Jesus and Rita (Ramos) Cerda; and a sister, Elena Cepeda.

Survived by his loving children, Rita Lynn Cerda, and Jennifer (Isaac) Blair; three adored grandchildren, Camille, Jasmine, and Nadia Cerda; cherished siblings, Felipe (Socorro) Cerda, Sergio (Joan) Cerda, Ramona (late Joseph) Esquibel, Maria (late Javier) Alvarez, Salvador (Jenny) Cerda, and Rita (late Craig) Taylor.

Cremation rites were respectfully addressed and a memorial celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
