Carol Jean Baltzer, 82
(nee Roepke)
Passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Betty Roepke; siblings, Betty (late Jack) Joiner, Barbara (late Robert) Thompson, Robert (late Bonnie) Roepke and Ginnie Roepke; Foster parents Alva (late Dorothy) Peterson, foster brother Larry Peterson. And many other dear deceased family members.
Survived by her loving children, Cathleen (LOML, Dean Draper) Drakulich, Michael (Cheryl) Baltzer and Christine (Ron) Scheuber; cherished grandchildren, Charlie (Kelly) Scheuber, Kyle (Tara) Baltzer, Courtney Baltzer, Amanda Scheuber and Austin Scheuber; dearest great-grandchildren, Brett, Hudson and Riley; dear siblings, Albert (late Pat) Roepke and Mary (late Gary) Struck; dear sister-in-law, Marcy Gamber; foster brothers Ray and John Peterson. Loved by her fur grand-babies WallE, Penelope-Peaches, Cash, Arlo and Cinder. And other dear family members.
Carol was exceedingly creative. She was an avid writer, scrapbooker, and personalized greeting card maker. Mom loved making Halloween costumes for her kids and grandkids, even going on to create costumes for theater.
Not a visit to any of our homes would go by when Carol wouldn't make a comment about the number of birds and critters she would enjoy seeing. She had a great love for spending quality time with all of the fur babies in the family.
Carol had a deep love for her family. She loved family time, experimenting with food and entertaining always emphasizing…"It is all about the presentation!!!"
Very special thanks to Nick Nothhelfer and his caring team at Silver Cross Hospital Oncology unit.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the American Cancer Society ( DONATE )
