Daniel A. Nutting, 79

US Army Veteran

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Charleroi, PA, moving to Chicago as a child.  Retired employee from Wm. Wrigley Jr. Chicago Plant where he acquired many lifelong friends.  Danny was a Corvette enthusiast all his life and was a longtime member of the Windy City Corvette Club (Orland Park).  Danny's dream was to travel to all 50 states which he was able to do during his lifetime.  He especially loved going on cruises with his wife and all his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, George and Marjorie Nutting; brother, James Nutting.

Survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Joanie Nutting (nee Junker); loving children, Sherri (Tony) McFadden, Dan Nutting Jr., Tina (Joe) Kopinski, Jessica (Mike) Jurkovic, Josh Nutting and step-son, Jeff (Kim) Bondora; many cherished grandchildren who he loved dearly; half-sister, Joanne Schiller and let's not forget his beloved dog Peaches.

The family would like to thank Lightways Palliative Care & Hospice for their help, especially Diane and Christine.  We would also like to thank our close friend, Beverly Edson, who stayed with Joanie these past few weeks to help with Danny as well as all the family members that helped along the way.
