Daun M. Konicek nee Weber

Age 88, late of Joliet, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home in Joliet. Born and raised in the Joliet area, and a resident of Lockport for many years. Retired from the Diocese of Joliet after many years of dedicated service. Daun loved Horseback riding and enjoyed belonging to many local Horse Groups and Clubs. She had a great passion for horses, they gave her so much joy.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Konicek (2003); parents, Sylvester Sr., and Elizabeth (Nee Donhoue) Weber; two brothers, Sylvester Jr. (Judy), and Robert Weber; niece, Susan Weber.

Survived by her devoted brother, Bill (Jean) Weber Jr. of Manhattan, and numerous cherished nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of donor's choice in Daun's name would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 410 S. Jefferson St. Lockport, from 9:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment immediately following Mass at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
