Derek Hare

Age 46, late of Joliet passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022. Born in Chicago, raised in Lockport and a resident of Joliet for the past 20 years. Derek loved music and enjoyed playing video games. He had a big heart and will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his mother, Patricia (Nee Gardner) Hare; paternal and maternal grandparents; brothers-in-law, Scott Sullivan, and John Bruhmuller; and nephew, Shawn Daniel.

Survived by his father, Melvin Sr. (Veleda) Hare; six loving siblings, Terry Sullivan, Thomas (Trish) Hare, Levi (Kelly) Brock, Tracey Wilson, Melvin Jr. Hare, and Eric (Debbie) Hare; his devoted girlfriend, Lisa Liccardi; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends also survive.

Cremation Rites have been respectfully addressed, Inurnment will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Lockport City Cemetery at 11:00am.
