Diane L. Ostrowski

(Nee Shermant)

Age 80, late of Lockport passed away peacefully at Lightways Hospice home in Joliet on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chicago, raised in Westchester, and a longtime resident of Lockport. She was a Legal Secretary at McKeown Law Firm, Joliet, and later a Secretary in the MBA department at Lewis University. Diane loved to bake, everyone loved her cheesecake and cheesy popcorn and was an exceptional cook. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by granddaughter, Alyssa Grant (2016); daughter-in-law, Connie Ostrowski (2015); son-in-law, Michael Morando (2009); her parents, Peter and Pauline (Nee Zasimowicz) Shermant; and her niece, Paula Stevick.

Survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Ronald Ostrowski; loving children, David Ostrowski of Naperville, Laura Grant-Morando of Aurora, and Karen (Steve) McNabb of Crest Hill; four adored grandchildren, Rachel Ostrowski, Nicholas Grant, and Nolan and Brinlee McNabb; two cherished sisters, Carole (Dennis) Sluski, and Paulette MacCabee; three nieces, Jill Dohner, Michelle MacCabee, and Kim Fish; one nephew, Scott MacCabee; and numerous friends, and other cherished family members also survive.

Everyone will meet at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 200 W. Romeo Rd, Romeoville, IL 60446, on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 11:00am for Committal Service and Entombment.
