Dona M. Laketek

Age 75, late of Colorado where she resided in both Denver and Boulder. Born and raised in Chicago, IL. She received her MBA from the University of Chicago and worked in Real Estate Management for many dedicated years. Dona was artistic, collected unique pieces of art, and she thoroughly enjoyed being part of the Chicago Art Council. She was a very caring, loving soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lillian (Nee Macicak) Laketek; her first husband, Ken Harris, and second husband, Ken Merrill.

Survived by her loving siblings, Edward Laketek, Stephen (Fran) Laketek, John (Tana) Laketek, Mary (Ron) DeSando and her sister-in-law, Maryann (Chuck) Glatczak; cherished nieces and nephews, Cheryl (Shawn) Dunnett, Shannon  Cournaya, Jeff (Wendy) DeSando, Gina (Josh) Warner, Gregory (Stephanie) Laketek, Samantha (Nick) Bukiet, Curtis Laketek and Suzanne Emory; fourteen grand nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Catholic Charities in Dona's name would be greatly appreciated.

A Memorial Mass celebrating Dona's life will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 10:00AM at St. Dennis Church 1214 S. Hamilton St. Lockport, IL 60441.
