Dorothy V. Johnson

Age 77, late of Lockport passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 5, 2021. Born and raised in Chicago, and a resident of Lockport since 1991. Employed by the University of Chicago as a secretary for the after-school program for 20 dedicated years retiring in 2007. Member of St. Joseph Church, Lockport. An avid gardener, loved to travel, enjoyed playing BUNCO with her cherished girlfriends for over 25 years, but above all else she loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's sporting events where she was always their biggest fan.

Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ann (Nee: Rojek) Horazy.

Survived by her loving husband of 49 years, John A. Johnson; one son, Brent (Valerie) Johnson, adored grandchildren, Jeremy and Brianna Johnson; four sisters, Rosemary (Late Bob) Marks, Josephine (Charles) Giblin, Dolores (Joseph) Gawel and Maryann (Hank) Owens; nieces and nephews, Carolyn and Melissa Marks, David and Mark Giblin, and Sarah (Daryl) Ward. Also survived by the entire Johnson family whom she loved dearly.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. (159 ^th St.) Lockport, IL., 60441 at 9:30am proceeding to St. Joseph Church, Lockport for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.

Visitation Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in the funeral home chapel from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
