Elaine R. Studer

(Nee Segatto)

Age 85, late of Lockport passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 16, 2023. Born in Lockport and a lifelong resident. A devout member of St. Dennis Church, where she was a eucharistic minister, choir member, and CCW member for many devoted years. Elaine lived a life full of joy, love, grace, strength, and faith. She planted many seeds in her life, both in her garden and in all the hearts of those she knew and loved. She was a kind and loving soul and will be deeply missed by many.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond "Ray" Studer (2014); one daughter, Janet Schroeder; her parents, Gildo and Mary (Nee Vincent) Segatto; two sisters, Dolores (Kelly) Young, Esther (Ozzie) Hoffman; and one niece, Marianne Hoffman.

Survived by her two devoted children, Thomas (Sandra) Studer of Lockport, and Karyn (Kevin) Kirk of Lockport; four cherished grandchildren, Jenna (Simon) Staub, Kristen Studer, and Kelsie and Kendal Kirk; three adored great grandchildren, Bradlee Hartigan, and Ethan and Owen Staub; her dear cousin, Donna (late Richard) Anderson; numerous nephews, nieces, friends, and other cherished family members also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lightways Hospice, or St. Dennis Church in Elaine's name would be greatly appreciated.

Prayers will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 9:15am in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL 60441 proceeding to St. Dennis Church, Lockport for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Following Mass interment will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Romeoville. Visitation Thursday, January 19, 2023, in the funeral home chapel from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
