Eleanor E. "Ellie" Soderlund

(Nee: Johnson)

Age 91, late of Lockport, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Retired from Brunswick Law Firm in Blue island after 40 years of dedicated service. Eleanor loved spending time at her cabin in Wisconsin and cherished her family.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert G. "Herb" Soderlund (2011); parents, Sven and Anne (Nee: Walsh) Johnson; a grandson, Kenny Soderlund; and one sister, Esther Melchiorre.

Survived by her three devoted children, Barbara ( Gerry) Mullins of Dacula, GA., Ken (Sue) Soderlund of Chicago, and Gary (Ellen) Soderlund of Downers Grove; nine adored grandchildren, Jason Sintich, Mark (Sarah) Sintich, Patrick Mullins, Lauren (Dan) Bryk, Lindsey Soderlund, Lisa Soderlund, Garrett Soderlund, Chase Soderlund, and Morgan Soderlund; four loving great grandchildren, Elise and Rilynn Sintich and Gianna and Elliana Bryk; one brother, John (Vicki) Johnson; and one sister, Nancy (Ken) Kufner; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021 in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St., Lockport, IL., 60441 from 10:00am until time of Funeral Service at 12noon. Interment immediately following service at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing practices are required inside the funeral home and a limited capacity will be allowed at one time.
