Elsa D. Bruining (nee Doesburg)

Age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pesse, Netherlands, migrated to Chicago as a child; raised her family in South Holland and was a resident of Homer Glen since 1993. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to Fred; Loving mother of Robert (Kym) Bruining and Michael (Trish) Bruining. Loving Oma to Hailey, David and Jeffrey; dear sister of Rika (late Al) Slendebroek, Dena (late Don) Fuselier, and the late John (Agnes) Doesburg. Devoted daughter of the late Johannes and Anne Doesburg; sister-in-law of the late Marilyn (late Jim) Newton and Karen (late Jack) Handley.  Aunt of many nieces and nephews and a friend to all.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
