Emil J. Bock

Age 87, late of Homer Glen, formerly of Orland Park, passed away peacefully Saturday February 13, 2021 at his late residence surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Chicago Heights, lived in Orland Park for 43 years until moving to Homer Glen in 2019.  Employed by Thrall Car Manufacturing for 45 dedicated years retiring in 2001.  Emil was an avid Nascar and Chicago Bears fan.  His number one hobby was woodworking, he crafted many special pieces of furniture for his family which will always be treasured.  As a skilled craftsman, he enjoyed helping his family with home remodeling and landscaping projects.  Above all else, nothing was more important to Emil than spending time with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.

Preceded in death by his parents, Emil T. and Doris (Nee: Hoevker) Bock; along with four brothers and three sisters.

Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Annette (Nee: Wetmore) Bock; three devoted children, Jeffery (Vicki) Bock, Diane (Kenneth) Arnold, and Clayton (Linda) Bock; eight cherished grandchildren, Ryan (Megan), Jason (Annmarie), Kristen, Kaitlin (Matt), Brent, Alexander, Michael and Natalie; and four adored great-grandchildren, Ava, Georgia, Hannah and Nicholas.

Please omit flowers, memorials may be made to Joliet Area Community Hospice or The American Heart Association in Emil's name would be greatly appreciated.

Services will be held in The O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 East 9th St. (159 ^th St.) Lockport, IL., 60441 on Saturday February 20, 2021 at 10:00am. Interment immediately following services at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park.

Visitation at the funeral home Friday February 19, 2021 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
