Eugene T. Ogrodny

Age 84, late of Lockport passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Born and raised in Chicago, lived in Downers Grove, and a resident of Lockport since 1991. A proud United States Coast Guard Veteran. Member of St. Dennis Church, Lockport. An avid fisherman and loved to camp. He was a kind and loving soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his parents, John and Genevieve (Nee Tatarowska) Ogrodny; and one sister, Barbara Bassell.

Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Joyce (Nee Westendorf) Ogrodny; sisters-in-law, Helen (late Don) Lein, and JoAnn (late Tom) Leith; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other cherished family members also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Eugene's name would be greatly appreciated.

Prayers will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL 60441 9:30am to St. Dennis Church, Lockport for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Following Mass Cremation Rites will be respectfully addressed. Visitation Monday, October 24, 2022, in the funeral home from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
