Gary L. Janeczko

Age 69, late of Lockport passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Detroit, MI, raised in Chicago, lived in Stickney, Cicero, and a resident of Lockport since 2018.  He retired from Moroney Transport in 2016, after many years of dedicated service. He used his love of cars as a way to ensure spending quality time with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his sister, Gayle Janeczko; and many other dear family members.

Survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Vivian (Nee Hayes); son, Joshua (Kelly) Janeczko; cherished grandchildren, Jacob and Liliana Janeczko; one brother, Greg (Kathy) Janeczko; brothers- in-law, Jim (Mary) Hayes, and Bob (Gina Barnes) Hayes; nieces, Shaina (Josh) Lambert, and Becky (James) Johnson; and nephews, Stephen Janeczko, and Nick (Kristen) Hayes.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 9:00am until time of Chapel Prayers at 10:15am. Following prayers there will be a procession to St. Joseph Church, Lockport for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Following Mass Cremation Rites will be respectfully addressed.
