Genevieve M. "Jeannie" Macuk

(Nee Zola)

Age 90, late of Crest Hill passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2023. Born in Joliet and was a lifelong area resident. Employed by Joliet Beauty School where she was a dedicated teacher for many years. Jeannie had a passion for birds, especially her loved and cherished parakeets.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Macuk (2000); her parents, Frank and Anna (Nee Troha) Zola; two brothers, Frank "Sonny" (Maryellen) Zola, and Donald Zola; two sisters, Pauline "Sue" (late John) Dolosic, and Bernadette Zola.

Survived by her devoted nieces, Jacqueline Hannah, Cynthia (Anthony) Malito; one great nephew, Jonathan (Katie) Hannah; and two great nieces, Michelle (fiancé Justin Schneider) Malito, and Lauren Malito; numerous other nephews, nieces, and other cherished family members and friends also survive.

A private burial will take place at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Cemetery, Crest Hill with only her immediate family in attendance.
