George S. Lewis

Age 77, late of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Chicago, lived in Lockport and Homer Glen before moving to Joliet in 2023. A Graduate of Butler University where he received his Pharmacy Degree. He was a dedicated Pharmacist for many years, working at Cavetts Pharmacy, Hills Pharmacy, Eli Lilly Drug Company, and Corwin Pharmacy. George was an avid fisherman. He was a devoted husband, father, and papa. He found great joy in spending time with his family and will be deeply missed.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen (Nee Arvia) Lewis (July 9, 2023); and his parents, George and Marie (Nee Jasek) Lewis.

Survived by his three loving children, Michele (Jason) Evans, Richard (Kristi) Lewis, and Sara Fazio; son-in-law, Mark Fazio; five cherished grandchildren, Madison, Natalie, Josophine, Francesca "Frankie", and Dominic; one brother, Tom (Nancy) Lewis; and numerous other cherished family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Lewis Family which will be personally donated to Trinity Christian School, Shorewood, and Holy Family Catholic School, Shorewood in George's name.

Cremation Rites have been respectfully addressed.

A memorial visitation will be in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441 on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 1:00pm until time of service 4:30pm.
