Helen M. Cornolo

Age 92, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Born and raised in Joliet, raised her family in Lockport, lived in Boca Raton, FL, and was a resident of Plainfield for many years.  Helen devoted her entire life to her family and cherished being a mom more than anything. She loved to cook, bake, and enjoyed singing. She was a kind and loving soul, was everyone's favorite, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death her parents, Patrick and Antoinette (nee Verbic) Hartney; her siblings, Ann (George) Ondreja, Mary Lou (Robert) Panich, and Elizabeth (William) Cornolo; and former spouse, Gene Cornolo.

Survived by her four devoted children, James Cornolo, Mary Jean (Mitchell) Flomenhoft, Lisa (Barney) Caris, Patrick (Kelly) Cornolo; three loving grandchildren, Antonio James "AJ" Caris, Annabella Marie Cornolo, and Nicholas Patrick Caris; two siblings, Patrick (late Joyce) Hartney, and Elaine (late Harry) York; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

Cremation Rites have been respectfully addressed.

Memorial Visitation will be held on July 9, 2026, in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E.  9th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 5:00pm until time of service at 7:00pm.
