Jack Maynard

Age 77, late of Martin, TN, formerly of Blue Island, IL and Lockport, IL living in Lockport for 22 years before moving to TN in 2021 passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 22, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Jack was a faith filled man who loved his family and showered his children with fatherly affection. He was an avid Nascar and NHRA fan. He spent many hours watching the races. Jack spoke often of the precious love he and his wife, Ginny, shared. Recently retired from G & T Enterprise, South Holland, IL where he worked as a hydraulics mechanic, welder, and fabricator for twelve dedicated years. Previous employment includes, Waynebuilt, Calumet Park, IL, and Airline Towing, Blue Island, IL.

Preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia Maynard; his beloved cousin, Diane Maynard; he was recently joined in heaven by his very dear friend, Melvin Duncan who passed away on May 20, 2022.

Survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Virginia (Nee Reardon) Maynard; four loving children, Timothy (Olivia), Tamara, Victoria (Shimi), and Michelle (Randy); numerous adored grandchildren, many dear friends and other cherished family members also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Maynard family which will be directed to the Jack Maynard scholarship fund for young mechanics.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 10:00am until time of memorial service at 11:00am. The Maynard family would like everyone to join them following services at the funeral to continue celebrating Jack's life at the Dellwood Park Eagle pavilion located directly behind the park band shell Rt. 171 and Woods Ave. Lockport, IL 60441.
