James R. Fisher, 55

Passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer on August 11, 2026.  Born in Joliet, raised in Lockport.  Graduate of University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.  A 29-year employee of American Stair Company where he worked in IT.  He was hard working and took great pride while working at American Stair.  He considered his friends there as family.  He shared a very special bond with his mother, who he was deeply devoted too.

Preceded in death by his loving mother, Pamela Fisher (nee Taves); grandparents, James and Elaine Taves; uncles, Anthony Taves and  David (late Linda) Taves

Survived by his aunts, Paulette  (Bob) Georgantas, Lori (Doug) Gardner and Theresa Taves; many dear cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the American Cancer Society ( DONATE ).
