James Richard Oglesby

"JR"

Age 37, late of Lockport passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Born in Evanston, lived in Chicago, and spent many years in Lockport. A 2003 graduate of Lockport Township Highschool. James worked for City Service Corporation, Joliet for many dedicated years. JR was a motorcycle enthusiast, loved his Harley, enjoyed fishing, camping, listening to music, and working in his vegetable garden. He was very talented and could fix almost anything. He was very devoted to his family and cherished spending time with them. Above all else he was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and dear friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Dolores (Nee Fett) Ostrowski; one Uncle Charles Gross; and a Cousin Scott Gross.

Survived by his parents, Joan (Nee Ostrowski) and Donald Gross; three adored children, Thomas Fye, Mary Jane Oglesby, and Jack Oglesby; fiancé, Eileen Budinger; three cherished siblings, Shelly (Chris) Haley, Boogie Gross, and Becky Gross; dear friends, Tommy Fye, Mike Lopresti, Bud Budinger, Shawn Budinger, and Kevin Budinger. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends, and other cherished family members also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Gross family would be appreciated.

Cremation Rites have been respectfully addressed

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 4:00pm until time of service at 6:00pm.
