James "Todd" Richardson

Age 59, late of Lockport passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Born in Joliet, raised in Lockport and was a lifelong resident. Todd was a former member of Teamster Union Local #179 for many dedicated years. Todd's famous line was always "I got a guy". He was able to fix everything and was always willing to help everyone. An avid animal lover, Dallas Cowboys fan, Chicago Cubs fan and Die Hard AC/DC fan. He was very loyal to his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leslie and Artis (nee Abser) Richardson; maternal grandfather, Ed (Helen) Janowski; and maternal grandmother, Ann (nee Knoble) Janowski; four uncles, James Orville Fykes, Roy Lee Fykes, Charles Nathaniel Fykes and Malcom Knoble; One Aunt; Lydia Eudean Clark and three cousins, Richard Clark, Mark Fykes and Hilary Mitchell.

Survived by his two loving children, Kyle (Megan) Richardson, and Lauren (Zak) Borowski; devoted parents, Les "Jr." and Kathi (Nee Janowski) Richardson; one cherished grandson, Logan Nathaniel Richardson; two dear brothers, Charles Scott (Christy) Richardson, and Jodi Richardson; his Fiancé of 24 years, Melanie Gronwold; two nieces, Rylee Kathryn Richardson, and Raegen Artis Richardson; nephews, Ryan Babka, Matt and Joseph Richardson, and Aaron Cissell; his aunts, Sue Hernandez, Marge Fleet, and Anna Dean Fykes; cousins, Matt Fykes, Julia Fykes, Gil Mitchell , Jimmy Clark, Dale Mitchell, Gail "Sissy" Button and Anne Blickhahn; and numerous other loved family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the ASPCA in Todd's name would be greatly appreciated.

Funeral Service celebrating Todd's life will be held in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, Il 60441, on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 10:00am. Interment following service at Barnet Cemetery, Lockport. Visitation Friday, December 29, 2023, (Todd's 60th birthday) in the funeral home chapel from 4:00 pm until 8:00pm.
