Jimmy L. Rodeghero

(Nee Russell)

Age 102, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 26, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Cabo, TN, lived in Chicago, Downers Grove, Lemont, Missouri, and a resident of Lockport since the mid 1950's. Devout member of First United Methodist Church, Lockport, and attended services at First Congregational Church, Lockport. Jimmy went to school in Morris Chapel Tennessee and played basketball at Morris Chapel Highschool. She loved to exercise and was always active. Above all else she cherished spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ann Cherry (1946); her first husband, Paul Cherry; her late husband, Roy Rodeghero; and two sisters, Mary Frances, and Doris Russell.

Survived by her two devoted children, David Cherry, and Betty (Phil) Woock; four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Jimmy's name would be greatly appreciated.

Services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 11:00am in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL, 60441 with Pastor GaHyung Kim officiating. Interment following service at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. Visitation Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the funeral home from 9:00am until time of service.
