John Stanley Visus

Age 80, late of Lemont passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Born and raised in Chicago, and a resident of Lemont for the past five years. Employed by the IRS for many dedicated years. Johnny had a green thumb, he was a man of strong faith, loved the Chicago Symphonie Orchestra, enjoyed theatre, and was an avid baseball fan. Above all else he was very devoted to his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Bernice (Nee Zalewski) Visus; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survived by his devoted brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Lyda Visus; two cherished nieces, Katie Koch and Mary (AJ) Smith; his adored nephews and nieces, Noah, Zach, and Ethan Mandra, Alex Koch, Payton and Draven Smith.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 9:00am until prayers at 10:30am. Proceeding to St. Dennis Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Immediatly following Mass everyone will meet at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery 6800 N. Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL, 60714 for interment.
