The Life of Joseph Lamar Buss

Joseph was born August 23, 1959, to Edward and Geraldine Buss who preceded him in death. Joseph was the fifth of six children: Edward, Elaine, Carolyn, William "Billy" (who also preceded him in death), and Virginia.

He attended Saint Dennis Catholic School where he graduated the 8th Grade. He went on to attend Lockport Township High School where he graduated in 1977. After High School he took some courses at Joliet Jr College.

He started his working career as greenskeeper at Texaco Golf Course, was a correctional office for the Joliet Correctional facility, then after several years of service he retired from his position of patrol officer for the Chicago Police Department and security for the White Sox.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 38 years, Levette; four children: Chianta (Markez), Stacy, Ashley (James), and Joseph Jr. (Gisela). Nine grandchildren: Shanta, Manijah, Takayla, Joseph, Emma, Xander, Amelia "Mill-Mill", Isabella "Bella". Five great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Kavon, Rylan, Carter, Zuri, a host of nieces and nephews, and his CPD Posse Ron, Tim, Nick, Don, and Jack.
