Judith
Riordan-Broud
Dec 12, 1943 — Jul 18, 2025
Judith Riordan-Broud, 81, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025 surrounded by the love of family. We cannot express how much she meant to our family and cannot imagine what life will be like moving forward without her. She would want us to carry on with strength, and to honor her memory by embracing life with the same spirit and resilience she so beautifully embodied. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Judy had a heart of gold, a strong Irish spirit, a great sense of humor, and a laugh that was contagious. She had the rare gift of making everyone feel at ease and welcome. She was funny, kind, and always ready to lend a hand. She enjoyed her travel and time spent with her family and many childhood friends, church friends, neighbors and co-workers.
She is survived by her cherished children, Renee (Dale) Schmidt, Debi and Tim Riordan and grandchildren, Dale (Bree), Trevor, Mali, Markus, Adam, Clare, Michael and David. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Veronica Farley and her beloved husband Ronald Broud.
A Celebration of Life for Judy will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, at St. John Episcopal Church, 312 E. 11th Street, Lockport, Illinois, with Visitation from 9:00–10:15 a.m. (in Hall next to church), followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m.In memory of Judy, her family would appreciate all to perform a random act of kindness for another. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter or food pantry.
