KAREN E. ABRAMS, 79

Passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.  Born in Joliet, lifetime resident of Lockport.  Graduate of Lockport High School and Northern Illinois University where she received her Master's Degree in education.  Retired teacher from the Lemont Public Schools.  Karen was a proud 4H'er.  Member of Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society for Education.  Member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lemont.  Active in many sports, especially volleyball, basketball and softball.   Lifelong Chicago sports fan, especially the White Sox.

Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence J. "Bear" Sr. and Camille Abrams; brother, Clarence J. "Jim" Jr.

Survived by her sister, Camille (late Harold) Ratcliff; Sister-in-law, Lin Abrams; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Tim) Walter, Jim (Sarah) Abrams and Jason (Stacy) Abrams; great-nieces and nephews, Jacob, Parker, Olivia, Noah and Lucas; many cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to St. Matthew Church in Lemont or your favorite charity in her memory.

Visitation Monday, November 25, 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at O'NEIL FUNERAL HOME 1105 E. 9th St., Lockport.  Family and Friends to meet on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lemont, IL for visitation at 10:30am with Services beginning at 11:00am.  Interment Mt.
