Karen M. Chmielewski

Age 62, late of Lockport passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Born and raised in Chicago and a longtime resident of Lockport. Karen was the owner of Uncle Richie's with her family for 40 dedicated years. Member St. Joseph Church, Lockport.

Preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ursula (Nee Tatusko) Heiy; and two brothers, Rich Jr. and Michael Heiy.

Survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Brian Chmielewski; one cherished son, Matthew Chmielewski; one brother, Steven (Lisa) Heiy; one sister, Cheryl (Mark) Maley; and many other cherished family members, friends and customers also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Karen's name would be greatly appreciated.

Services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL 60441 at 9:30 am to St. Joseph Church, Lockport for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am.

Following Mass Cremation Rites will be respectfully addressed.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021, in the funeral home chapel from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
