Kenneth L. Koestner

"Ken"

Age 73, late of Chicago, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Born in Chicago and lifelong resident. A proud United States Vietnam Army Veteran. Member of St. James Church on Wabash. Ken enjoyed fishing and was an avid train collector.

Preceded in death by his beloved father, Arthur Koestner; a brother, Donald Koestner; and a sister, Karen Loch; brother-in-law, Robert Czarny.

Survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Joanne (Nee: Czarny); his mother, Antoinette (Nee: Bartlaga); a son, Brian (Jennifer) Czarny; three daughters, Stacey (Josh) Wiltse, Stacy Wepsiec and Tricia (Fernando) Barrera; one granddaughter, Hannah Wiltse; three brothers, Charles (Donna) Koestner, David (Alicia) Koestner, and Richard (Lin) Koestner; four sisters, JoAnne (James) Kazlauskas, Charlene (David) Smolik, Nancy (Ray) Zmikly and Judy (Michael) Marcet; sisters-in-law, Sonni Koestner and Pat (Frank) Kalebich and a brothers-in-law, Leonard Loch and Ray (Karrie) Czarny. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished family members also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Koestner family in Kenneth's name would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 12, 2021 in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL., 60441 from 10:30am until time of Funeral Service at 12:30pm. Interment immediately following services at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood with only his immediate family in attendance.
