Obituary

Kim C. Liebendorfer

Age 68, late of Lockport, a former resident of Frankfort for over 35 years passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 4, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kankakee, raised in Bourbonnais, lived in Frankfort and a resident of the Lago Vista Community in Lockport since 2022. A 1973 graduate of Bradley Bourbonnais High School, and 1977 graduate of Western Illinois University. Retired from Pentair Valves and Control in 2015, where he was an Operations Manager for 20 dedicated years. After retirement he was a proud co-founder of Freedom Boat Club Southwest Michigan. Kim was very athletic playing high school basketball and track and field. While at Western Illinois University he played basketball as a walk-on. His hobbies were bowling, basketball, golf, volleyball, skiing, hunting, and fishing. He was an enthusiastic Chicago sports fan. He was very computer savvy and was always there to help family and friends with their computer issues. He was your go to man in life when you needed. He always found a way to make people laugh. If he teased you, it was only because of the love he had for you. His sarcasm and generosity were two of his best qualities. Kim loved spending time at his lake house on Reynolds and Cedar Lake in Michigan. But above all else he cherished time spent with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Everett "Whitey" and Joan (Nee Cuerden) Liebendorfer; and his nephew and niece, Shawn and Wendy Beaupre.

Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Debbie (Nee DiPietro) Liebendorfer, two adored children, Brian (Lauren) Liebendorfer, and Kelly (Colin) Gilreath; three precious grandchildren, Cameran, Taylor, and Beau Liebendorfer; loved siblings, Pam (Hal) Beaupre, Pat (late Don) Regnier, Randy (late Suzanne) Liebendorfer, Mike (Deb) Liebendorfer, Sue Liebendorfer, Janet Liebendorfer, and Robin (Bill) Molter; many nephews, nieces, great nieces, great nephews; numerous family members and dear friends; and his two grand puppies, Harley and Levi. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Lightways Hospice of Joliet, or Loyola University Medical Center in Kim's name would be greatly appreciated. Per Kim's wishes Cremation Rites were respectfully addressed.
