KRISTINE G. MONROE, 57

Passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023 surrounded by loving family and friends.

Preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey Monroe and grandmother, Henrietta Dietman.

Survived by loving wife, Kayla Renee; children, Kyle (Danni) Billig and Ryan (Nichole) Billig; parents, Rollin Monroe and Kathleen (John) Montgomery; brother, Stephen (Michelle) Montgomery; niece and nephew, Morgan and Grant; grandchildren, Harvey, Scottie, Bryce, Declan and Vance; many other dear family members and friends.

Kris was our superhero in courageously battling leukemia over the past eight months.  Prior to that, she spent 34 years teaching, influencing countless kids and colleagues.  She rescued and adored her Cocker Spaniels (Wrigley, Maisy, Nikki, and Chloe).  While she loved traveling, watching the snow fall next to a roaring fire, playing games, doing puzzles, and her beloved Cubbies, her biggest loves were her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
