Obituary

Kurt Anthony McConnell

At age 29, Kurt's time with us was much too brief, but the beauty of his spirit, brilliant mind, gentle soul, and pure heart will forever be remembered. Kurt was filled with compassion and generosity. He had a quiet way of just being still and he felt ever so deeply. Kurt found peace and joy hiking through the woods, watching the changing seasons, and simply spending time outdoors. He felt most at home surrounded by nature's beauty. He appreciated life's simple wonders, and he found comfort, inspiration, and endless curiosity in reading and writing. He used his words to express his thoughts, dreams, and observations with remarkable and gifted insight. Those who knew Kurt will remember his gentle nature, thoughtful conversations, strength and unwavering compassion. Though his passing leaves an unimaginable void, the memories he created and the love he gave will remain a lasting gift to all who were fortunate enough to know him and feel his soft embrace. His life reminds us that gentleness is pure, kindness is contagious, and a beautiful soul should always be remembered.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Anthony Norkaitis; paternal grandparents, Vernon and Virginia McConnell; and his uncle, Daniel McConnell.

Survived by his loving parents, his mother, Krissy Norkaitis; his father, Kevin McConnell; his cherished siblings, Ziggy McConnell, Karl McConnell and Corey McConnell; maternal grandmother, Dalia (nee Kudirka) Norkaitis and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Kurt will forever be loved, forever be missed, and forever be remembered within our hearts.
