Laura Rhea Fanello

(Nee Onwiler)

Age 84, late of Lockport passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Born in Kansas, raised in Neosho, Missouri, raised her children in Central Stickney, Illinois, lived in Berwyn, Lemont, and a resident of Lockport since 2015. Member of St. Dennis Church, Lockport. While in Kansas she did ministry work serving the home bound. She was a fantastic cook, and in her younger years she enjoyed gardening.  She was the matriarch of her family and will be deeply missed.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, James F. Fanello (2020); her parents, Ira and Mary (Nee Turner) Onwiler; one brother, Bart Onwiler; and one sister, Sylvia Pridemore.

Survived by her two devoted daughters, Deborah (Wayne) Falletti, and Laura Lee Fanello; one son, James Fanello; four grandchildren, Geno (Deanna) Falletti, Nick Fanello, Lauren Falletti, and Elizabeth Principe; and two great grandchildren, Leo and Marco Falletti; two brother, Archie (Joan) Onwiler, and Walter Onwiler; numerous other cherished family members also survive.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 10:00am until time of Funeral Service at 12:00pm. Immediately following services interment will be held at Saint Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
