Brother Lawrence Oelschlegel, FSC, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital, Palos Heights, Illinois. A De La Salle Christian Brother for 58 years, he was the son of Conrad Henry and Marie (nee Campbell) Oelschlegel. He entered the Ammendale (MD) Novitiate on June 14, 1964, and professed Perpetual Vows in Adamstown, MD on August 10, 1972. A graduate of La Salle College in Philadelphia and the University of Maryland. Brother Lawrence had spent the last thirty years teaching at Lewis University. Preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Mary Grace De Lorenzo, Catherine Oelschlegel, and Henry Conrad Oelschlegel. Survived by his brother, Norman Oelschlegel of Harrisburg, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sancta Alberta Chapel at Lewis University on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
