LESTER N. MOORE
Lester N. Moore of Homer Glen, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home, under the care of his children, on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the age of 93.

Lester is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Cecilia Ann (nee Strahanoski) (2019), his parents Ray and Emma Moore (nee Brost), sister and brother-in-law Eileen and Gene Conroy, sister Joan Blahunka and nephews Don Blahunka and Edward Kinsley; granddaughter Lindsay Moore, great-granddaughter Isabel Tafoya, and very special cousin Lucille Dwenger. He is also preceded in death by his sister-in-¬law and brother-in-law Dorothy (Strahanoski) and Jim Kinsley, brother-in-law Leonard Strahanoski and sister-in-law Charlene Strahanoski.

Lester is survived by his loving children Laura Moore Kaminskas, Michael (Beth), Mark (Betsy), Terri, Rosemarie (Terry) Doyle, Matthew (Christine), Nicholas and his 18 grandchildren and 22 great-¬grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Roy and Rita Moore, brother and sister-in-law Lavern and Sharon Moore, sister-in-law Dolly Strahanoski (late Leonard), brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Norma Strahanoski, brother-in-law Ron Strahanoski (late Charlene) and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Virginia (Strahanoski) and Bob Smolich, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Lester was the founder of Les Moore & Company in the year 1978, retiring in 2021 at the age of 91. During those years, his four sons worked alongside him. Driving a truck for 70 years was his favorite thing to do.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Lightways Hospice, St. Dennis School and/or Providence Catholic High School, would be appreciated.

A luncheon is planned for all family and friends to gather at 1:30 p.m., at Mistwood Golf Club, 1700 W. Renwick Road in Romeoville, regardless if you are able to attend the morning events or not. (Only attending luncheon? Please RSVP to (815) 838-3439)

A celebration of Lester's life will begin on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at O'Neil Funeral Home & Heritage Crematory , 1105 E. 9th Street , Lockport , from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., followed by mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., at St. Dennis Catholic Church, 1214 S.
