Lucy Salazar

Age 79, late of Lockport passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised Yuriria, Guanajuato Mexico, moved to the United States in 1980 and settled in Lockport, IL. She loved to crochet and really enjoyed watching birds and animals in her yard. She was a loving and devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and dear friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death her beloved son, Juanito Salazar; parents, Jesus and Socorro (Nee: Vega) Lopez; and one brother and two sisters.

Survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Juan Salazar; four devoted children, Patricia (Ramiro) Onate, Corina (Paul) Robbins, Maribel (Anthony) Rosinski and Lucy Shields; nine adored grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many other cherished family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 10:00am until time of funeral services at 12noon. Interment immediately following services at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Stickney, IL.
