Marjorie Lea Arnhart

(Nee Smith)

Age 92, late of Lemont went to be with the Lord Our Savior peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2022. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, raised in southern Illinois, lived in Chicago, Romeoville, and a resident of Lemont since the early 70's. Past member of First Baptist Church, Romeoville. She attended Beauty School out of high school and worked at a small salon for a few years. She retired from International Harvester in the late 80's after more than 28 years of dedicated service. Marj loved embroidering, reading her Bible, and fishing.  She was always on the go, traveling near and far exploring new adventure and local restaurants. Above all else cherished spending time with her family and privately spending time with the Lord.

Preceded death by her beloved husband, John J. Arnhart (1986); parents, Leroy and Robbie Irene (Nee Stephens) Smith; and one sister, Barbara (Charles) Kunsman.

Survived by one loving son, Mitchell (Gabriele) Arnhart; cherished nephew and niece, Les (Donna) Kunsman, and Darlene (Gary) Weincouff; great nieces and nephews, Dawn (Tony) Maggard, Penny (Ted) Yuen, David Kunsman, and David (Terrie) Isom; great-great nephews, and a great-great niece, Chris (Karina) Maggard, Stephen (Rachel) Maggard, Josiah Yuen, and Karis Yuen; and great-great-great niece, Lexi Maggard. Numerous other cherished family members and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 11:00am until time of Funeral Service at 12:00pm with Pastor Gil Palmer officiating. Immediately following service interment at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park, Lemont.
