Marjorie R. "Margie" Hess

(Nee Monteith)

Age 92, late of Lockport, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 7, 2023. Born and raised in Minneapolis MN, and a longtime resident of Lockport, IL. Retired from Lockport Township School District in 1985, where she was a Special Education Teachers Assistant for 27 dedicated years. Member of St. Joseph Church, Lockport where she was a former member of the Resurrection Choir. Marjorie was a very loving mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Hess (2007); her son, Scott Hess; and her parents, John and Margaret (Nee Francis) Monteith.

Survived by her devoted children, Paul Hess, Todd (Tessa) Hess and Katy (Joe) Regis; daughter-in-law, Marnie Hess; five cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Emma, Molly, Ben, and Maggie; 10 adored great grandchildren; one brother, John (Lynne) Monteith; three sisters, JoAnn Kozenski, Arlene (late Wayne) Stabeneau, and Judy (Lee) Jorgensen; and numerous nephews, nieces, and other cherished family members and friends. Memorials to the Lockport Love Food Pantry in Marjorie's name would be greatly appreciated.
