Mary E. Karn

(Nee Paulsen)

Age 98, late of Homer Township, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 18, 2025, at The Cottages of New Lenox surrounded by her loving family. Born in St. Paul, MN, and lived in Homer Township for the past 72 years. Member of St. Joseph Church, Lockport, Homer Township Seniors, Lemont Senior Association, and a dedicated member of the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts of America for many years.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, William "Bill" Karn Sr. (2017); her parents, Harry and Katheryn (McEvoy) Paulsen; daughters-in-law, Deborah Karn and Claudia Karn; two brothers, Richard Paulsen and Robert (Bette) Paulsen; and her sister, Kay (Chris) Christensen.

Survived by her devoted children, William (Janet) Karn Jr., Gary (Ardith) Karn, John (Tammy) Karn, Jeffery (Alice) Karn, and Cheryl (David) Popek; and many adored grandchildren and great grandchildren. The Karn family would like to thank Mary's caregiver, Michelle Condra for the exceptional care and love she provided Mary and the entire Karn family over the past two years. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church, Lockport in Mary's name.

A private Mass of Christian Burial and Interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery was held with her immediate family.
