Marylou G. Virva

Age 76, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 12, 2026. Born and raised in Gage Park on the southwest side of Chicago and lived in the Garfield Ridge area of Chicago for 40 years. Retired from Central Steel after many years of dedicated years. Marylou had a passion for animals, enjoyed gardening, spending time in nature, and going to the movies weekly. She was a kind and loving soul and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Preceded in death by her parents, Aloysious "AL" and Mary (nee Hmira) Virva.

Survived by her loving brother, Christopher (Dawn) Virva; and her cherished niece, Piper (Niko) Bowe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to ASPCA in Marylou's name would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 9:00am until Funeral Service at 11:00am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.
