Melody Joy Esquivel
( nee Nordstrom )

Age 75, of Lockport passed away peacefully at the Lightways Hospice in patient unit surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Joliet, where she lived until she married her high school sweetheart and moved to Lockport in 1970.  Retired from Walsh School Dist. 92, where she was a fun loving, dedicated paraprofessional for many years.  She found her true passion working with the children and will forever be remembered as "Ms. Melody".   She took great joy in spending time with family, watching movies and loved all animals, from dogs, to cats to even a pet goat when she was young on her dad's farm.

Preceded in death by her parents, William and Carol (nee Olson) Nordstrom ; and her beloved sister, Anita VanZaghi.

Survived by her loving husband, Armando "Chico" Esquivel;  three children, Andre (Ellen) Esquivel, April (Rob) Lange and Robert "Paul" (Rebecca ) Esquivel,  numerous loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with nieces and cousins. She will be forever missed until we see her again!  Love you Momma and "tack sa mycket" for everything!
