Michael Wayne Gramza

Age 66, late of Lockport passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2023, with his family by his side. Born and raised in Chicago, lived in South Holland, Calumet City, and a resident of Lockport for the past 26 years. Employed Aldridge Construction in Libertyville, IL, where he was the Construction Manager for the past six years. Member of the Carpenters Union Local No. 1, Chicago, where he was a hardworking Foreman for many dedicated years, Ducks Unlimited, and the Lockport Moose Lodge 1557. He was a wonderful father who unconditionally loved his daughter and was so proud of her. He was a devoted husband, brother, uncle, godfather, and dear friend to many.

Preceded in death by his parents, John and Alice (Nee Grabowski) Gramza.

Survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Donna Verner-Gramza; his cherished daughter, Krista Rae Gramza; three brothers, Paul, Carl, and his twin, Robert (Colleen) Gramza; one sister, Karen (Henry) Kuyper; his goddaughter, Lauren Gramza; and numerous loved nephews, nieces, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 10:00am in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441. Immediately following service interment will take place at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park. Visitation in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
