MICHAEL R. HERBERT, 67

Lifetime Lockport resident, passed away May 15, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.  Mike was an amazing talented auto-body repairman.  He loved woodworking, being outdoors, a variety of music, riding his motorcycle and being on his boat on the Kankakee River.  He enjoyed humor and treasured entertaining family with his jokes.  He enjoyed his life at the river and was especially happy and content surrounded by friends and family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Michael (late Christine) Herbert and Carol nee Hill (late Jerry) Sturgeon and a brother, Ray Herbert.

Survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Annette (nee Heeringa); children, April (Matt) Persicketti, Teresa Smart and Jason Niggle; grandchildren, Tom, Bianca, Cece, Dino, Donovan, Tristen, Gavin, Valerie, Michael, Keira, Jordan, Antonio, Faith, Lupe and Lilly; great-grandchild, Sebastian; siblings, Sandra (Jeffrey) Huml, Karen (Paul) St.Clair and Patrick (Emma) Herbert; daughter-in-law, Valerie (Lupe) Hernandez; many nieces and nephews.
