Michelle A. "Mick" Hunckler
Age 62, late of Minooka passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Joliet, and a resident of Minooka since 1977. Mick enjoyed cross stitch, was an avid reader, a talented artist, enjoyed the outdoors, and appreciated the beauty of birds and deer. She was a devoted mom and grammy who spent countless hours at her children's and grandchildren's school and sporting events, where she was always their biggest fan. Above all else she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her beloved father, Joseph J. Sitar Sr. (January 10, 2024); a brother in infancy, John Sitar (1971); maternal grandparents, Edward and Marie Brennan; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Ann Sitar; and her-in-laws, Carl Jr. and Kathleen Hunckler.
Survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Scott Hunckler; four adored children, Kristie (Rob) Anderson, Kelli (Jerum Hubbert) Hunckler, Scott Hunckler Jr. (Alyssa Walker), and Kevin Hunckler; her loving mother, Sally (Nee Brennan) Sitar; seven precious grandchildren, Rylee, Grace, and Conner Anderson, Riley, Havana, and Hailee Hubbert, and Kaleb Walker; two brothers, Joe (Denise) Sitar, and Jeff (Missy) Sitar, and one sister, Jennifer (Patrick) O'Neil; her faithful companion, her dog Wrigley; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hunckler family which will be donated to various local charities in Mick's name would be greatly appreciated.
