Miguel Lopez

Age 92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Born and raised in Yuriria GTO, Mexico, moved to the United States at the age of 15, lived in the southside of Chicago for many years and currently resided with his daughter in Lockport. Miguel loved spending time outside gardening and with his Cadillacs, but above all he cherished spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Salud (Murillo) Lopez.

Survived by his loving wife, Guillermina Lopez; six devoted children, Rosita (David) Portalatin, Luz Maria (Paul) Blanco, Anita (Ruben) Orozco, Miguel (Catalina) Lopez, Alicia (Paul Gutierrez) Lopez, and Guillermina (Javier) Madrigal; 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; and many cherished family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in the O'Neil Funeral Home 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Prayers Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in the funeral home chapel 9:15am proceeding to St. Dennis Church, Lockport for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Justice.
