Neil M. Jagust

Age 71, late of Lockport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2024. Born and raised in Chicago, and a resident of Lockport for the past forty years. He was a Civil Engineer by trade, he took pride in many construction projects he was part of during his multi-decade career. Neil was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed stays at his cabin in Hesperia, Michigan, boat rides, and fishing. He was an avid bowler, he participated in bowling leagues up until last year, and was known to be an outstanding bowler. Never married, but he firmly believed family should come first, he especially enjoyed spending time with his surviving siblings, Renee (Charles) Keller, and Paul Jagust, and helping his many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, and great-nephews, learn about the outdoors.

Preceded in death by his beloved parents, William and Dorothy (Nee Jurich) Jagust Sr.; three brothers, William "Bill" Jagust Jr., Martin "Marty" Jagust, and Timothy "Timmy" Jagust.

Neil was a kind and loving soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Morning Star Mission in Neil's name would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 12:00pm until time of service at 3:00pm. Following service cremation rites will be respectfully addressed.
