Pamela A. "Pam" Potempa

(Nee: Byers)

Age 54, late of Homer Glen, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Palos Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Employed at Gooding's Grove Elementary School Homer School District 33C as Paraprofessional for many dedicated years. Pam thoroughly enjoyed watching her children's sports and was always their biggest fan. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas J. Potempa (April 3, 2017); her father, Richard Byers Sr.; and mother-in-law, Maureen (Nee: Lynch) Potempa and father-in-law, LeRoy Potempa.

Survived by her cherished children, Paige, and Peyton Potempa; devoted mother, Grace (Robert) Byers-Meller; her cherished sister, Cheryl (Bob) Walker; loving brother, Rich (Sheila) Byers Jr.; sisters-in-law, Dawn Potempa, and Tish (Shawn) Bird. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends also survive. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to be used according to their wishes would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 1:00pm until time of service at 6:00pm. Visitation will resume after service until 9:00pm. Following Services Cremation Rites will be respectfully addressed.
