Penelope "Penny" Vivian (nee Robinson) Jaskoviak

February 20, 1943 – August 1, 2026

Penelope "Penny" Vivian (nee Robinson) Jaskoviak, 83, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. While her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her, her family finds comfort and peace in knowing she has been welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born on February 20, 1943, in Hamilton, Ohio, Penny was the cherished daughter of Benjamin and Vivian Robinson. She was raised in Hamilton, Ohio, and later in Westmont, Illinois, where she developed the warmth, kindness, and strong work ethic that would define her life.

Penny was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Richard Jaskoviak; her parents, Benjamin and Vivian Robinson; and her brother, Robert Robinson.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure her memory: her devoted children, Kevin (Jeanette) Vybiral of Sandwich, Illinois, and Michelle (Steve) Meyer of Lemont, Illinois. She was the proud and devoted Gramma and Nana to her five precious grandchildren, Alec (DeeDee) Vybiral, Bret Vybiral, Chad Vybiral, Lauren Meyer, and Matthew Meyer. Being "Gramma" and "Nana" was one of the greatest joys of her life, and her grandchildren were truly the center of her world.

Penny is also survived by her dear cousin, Lionel Robinson; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends; and treasured lifelong friends Connie Arndt, Sharon Morelli, Gen Mehler, Sharyn Underwood, and cherished neighbor Sandi Sternisha. Her kindness, generosity, and genuine interest in others made everyone she met feel like family.

A dedicated professional, Penny enjoyed a successful 30-year career as a Realtor with Honig Realty and later Coldwell Banker, where she became a multi-million-dollar producer and formed many lifelong friendships. She later continued her passion for helping others through her work with Hearthside Homes and Lockport Township. Whether assisting families in finding their dream home or simply offering a listening ear and caring heart, Penny had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Many of her clients became lifelong friends, and she was affectionately regarded as a second mom by so many.

Penny loved making memories with the people she loved most. She enjoyed many vacations to her favorite place, Siesta Key, Florida, where she later fulfilled her dream of retiring for several years. She also loved spending time with her family at the "Happiest Place on Earth," Walt Disney World, where she shared countless magical memories with her children and grandchildren.

Another place that held a special place in Penny's heart was her son Kevin and daughter-in-law Jeanette's home on Lake Holiday. She treasured every moment spent there boating on the lake, relaxing in the lanai overlooking the water, and enjoying countless wonderful meals surrounded by family and friends. The lake was a place where laughter came easily, stories were shared, and memories were made. It was one of her favorite places to simply slow down and enjoy being together with the people she loved.

Nothing brought Penny greater happiness than spending time with her family. She loved hosting family gatherings where everyone was welcomed with open arms, delicious food, and plenty of laughter. Whether celebrating birthdays, holidays, or simply getting together for no special reason, Penny made every occasion feel special. She especially enjoyed playing games with her family, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

As Gramma and Nana, she rarely missed a baseball, basketball, or volleyball game and proudly cheered from the stands. She especially loved supporting her grandson Bret at his Special Olympics competitions and treasured every opportunity to watch her grandchildren perform in concerts, plays, and band performances. Their accomplishments were her greatest source of pride, and they always knew they had their biggest fan cheering them on. Penny's love extended far beyond her own family, as she became like a mother and grandmother to many of her friends' children and grandchildren.

This summer, Penny faced her illness with remarkable grace, courage, and unwavering faith. Even during this difficult journey, she continued to bless others. While receiving care at Mother Teresa House in Lemont, she formed special friendships with the compassionate staff, whose kindness brought comfort to her and her family. True to the way she lived her life, Penny's warmth, gratitude, and caring spirit touched everyone she met—even in her final days.

Penny's Christian faith was the foundation of her life. She loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her faith through compassion, generosity, hospitality, and service to others. After returning to Illinois in 2018, she made her home in Carillon Lakes in Crest Hill, where she quickly formed treasured friendships and became an active member of a special Bible study group that she loved hosting in her home. She welcomed people into her home, encouraged those who were struggling, and loved others unconditionally.

Penny will be remembered for her beautiful smile, caring heart, unwavering faith, generous spirit, and unconditional love. Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished Gramma and Nana, treasured friend, and faithful servant of Christ. Her legacy lives on through the family she adored, the lifelong friendships she cultivated, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness. She truly lived a life of service, faith, and love, leaving the world a better place because she was in it.

"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord."
Matthew 25:23
