Richard J. "Rich" Gawlik

Age 80, late of Lockport passed away peacefully at the Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Chicago, lived in Burbank, Blue Island, and a resident of Lockport since 2021.

Preceded in death by his late wife, Ester (Nee Wylie) Gawlik (2016); and his parents, John and Ann (Nee Stojak) Gawlik.

Survived by his three devoted children, Cara (Edward) Budden, Richard Gawlik, and Lisa (Freddy) Moore; 11 cherished grandchildren; six adored great grandchildren; one sister, Barbara (late Richard) Pruszewski. In lieu flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Richard's name would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023, in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9 ^th St. Lockport, IL 60441 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral Service Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in the Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00am. Immediately following visitation everyone will meet at Cedar Park Cemetery, 12540 S. Halsted St. Calumet Park, Illinois, 60827 for Entombment.
